Alan Shearer believes Moises Caicedo choosing Chelsea over Liverpool will not be a 'good look' for Jurgen Klopp's side.
The Caicedo saga soon took a futher twist yesterday afternoon, however, as reports suggesting Caicedo was set to snub Liverpool in favour of Chelsea began to appear
It was claimed the Londoners were the club the 21-year-old is holding out for
The Telegraph have tonight reported Chelsea are now 'on the brink' of recruiting Caicedo
Commenting on how the events of recent days will reflect on the Reds if they end up missing out on their transfer target, Shearer delivered a brutally honest verdict.
Shearer
"It’s pretty embarrassing for Liverpool, if that is the case. They’ve agreed a deal for £111m and then, all of a sudden, the player has said 'No thanks, I don’t fancy coming to you, I’m going to London instead'.
"That is not a good look for Liverpool. You have to do your homework and your due diligence and make sure players want to join before agreeing deals for them."
