With the highest save percentage in the Premier League this season at 79, Alisson's importance to Jurgen Klopp remains undiluted as we approach the midway point of his sixth season for Liverpool.
With the reds in possession of the joint-best defensive record in the division, having shipped just 15 alongside Arsenal, Alisson, naturally, has been integral to the cause
So, at the age of 31 - and with five major honours already in his collection from his time at Anfield - is there somehow still more to come?
Alisson
Yes, if the numbers talk then maybe!"
"I feel myself in a good way, in good shape. I’m working for that – to improve each year as much as I can. I started to play (first team) football at a young age for a goalkeeper, 21 or 22 years old, so I’ve already played ten years in the posts.
"That’s a lot of time, but I’m still young for a goalkeeper. If you see goalkeepers now they are playing until they are 38, 39 and sometimes going over that."
It will hearten supporters to hear the Brazil international has designs on playing well into his late-30s,
Alisson has redefined what greatness looks like between the sticks at Anfield, with many comparing him with legendary figures like Bruce Grobbelaar and Ray Clemence.
Alisson adds
"I think now I am getting to my highest point of my career,"
"Mixing physicality, experience and a big desire to keep doing good and to keep improving."
"I’m pretty happy with what I am doing on the pitch and the way I am playing but I want to keep improving. If improving means just keeping this consistency then, for me, I am happy with that."
Alisson continues
"It changed since, I think, Manuel Neuer. I think if you look in the past you can see goalkeepers who play with the feet.
"I think [Victor] Valdes was a goalkeeper that played a lot at Barcelona with his feet but Neuer was the guy who was more active in playing, in sweeping behind the defensive line and then Ederson (at Manchester City), myself, so many goalkeepers that have the quality to play.
"I think the biggest difference is that the managers want it now, teams that build up from the goal kicks and not only kick long and fight for second balls.
"I think this is the biggest difference. The quality of playing with the feet is there.
"You have to work out that, you have to choose a goalkeeper with that kind of skills, but I think, as I said before, the main quality of the goalkeeper is making saves and make the team feel safe when you are between the posts.
"If this includes playing with your feet, it is good but if you can’t then maybe the team needs to adapt to that or find someone with the ability."
