Andy Robertson has admitted that he and his Liverpool teammates are not currently thinking about the prospect of Arne Slot becoming the club's next manager.
On Friday, news emerged that the Reds had reached an agreement with Feyenoord for Slot to take charge at Anfield
Slot had been identified as the leading candidate to succeed Jurgen Klopp when he departs this summer after almost nine years in charge.
Liverpool have been holding talks with Feyenoord in recent days in order to agree on compensation for Slot
The Reds agreed compensation that could be worth up to £9.4m (€11m) for Slot, which is expected to see him become the club's next manager.
Robertson was asked about the update on Slot being set to take charge in the summer, but instead, the Scotland international pointed to the job that still needed to be done in Klopp's final weeks in charge.
Robertson
"It’s obviously something that we can’t focus on now,"
"There has been a lot of talk in the last couple of days and it looks like it’s nearly finalised, if not finalised.
“But we have to focus on this season and focus on trying to give this manager [Klopp] our all till the end and give him the farewell he deserves with what he has done for this club.
"That is what us, as players, have to focus on and we will focus on the new era when it comes to it in the summer."
After facing West Ham, Liverpool will have just three more Premier League fixtures of Klopp's reign as manager.
“The Reds will face Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Wolves before the campaign draws to a close.
