Andy Robertson makes 'scary' Trent Alexander-Arnold prediction as Liverpool decision awaits

Andy Robertson believes it is 'scary' Liverpool may not yet have seen the best of Trent Alexander-Arnold in his new role.

Trent Took on the task of performing as an inverted full-back, the 24-year-old made his technical ability count after being given the license to move forward into midfield positions.

This revival recently resulted in Alexander-Arnold being selected for both of England's recent European Championship qualifiers, being played as part of a midfield three.

Southgate hinted this system could be here to stay as he opened the door to the prospect of the 2019 Champions League winner becoming a regular at international level.

It remains to be seen if Alexander-Arnold is asked to pick up where he left off last term by Klopp or will make the transition to a full-time midfielder.

Robertson:

"Trent is Trent, and that is the biggest compliment I can pay him," the Scotland international told Sky Sports. "He adapts to anything you ask of him. He is still relatively young, but has a wise head on his shoulders. He has that aggression and will to succeed, and I think you've seen that.

"Going away with England has been tough for him over the years, he's probably not played as much as he wants, but maybe they have found a position for him. Now that he can play there and learn, the scary thing is he will improve in that position as well. That's the England point of view, but we are more worried about the Liverpool point of view and will see what happens there of what position he takes up," added Robertson.
