Andy Robertson 'targeted' in surprise Liverpool transfer exit amid Jurgen Klopp departure

via echo

Andy Robertson is being linked with a shock Liverpool exit when the transfer window opens this summer.

Robertson has been a key player in the Jurgen Klopp era at Anfield and has been part of the squad that has won every major trophy during the German's tenure

The Reds signed Robertson from Hull City in an £8 million deal back in 2017, who has since made 282 appearances for the club.

Liverpool agreed to a contract extension with Roberson back in 2021 that sees him committed to the club until 2026

There are rumours that his time at Anfield could come to an end in the summer.

Bayern Munich have identified Robertson as a potential transfer target this summer

It has been claimed that the Bundesliga giants will consider a move for Robertson in the event that Alphonso Davies leaves the club for Real Madrid.

Bayern are fully aware that they would not find it easy to convince Liverpool to let Robertson leave the club.

Despite Robertson turning 30 next month, the Liverpool left-back is still considered a possible option for the Bundesliga giants this summer.

This summer will see Bayern look for a new manager with Thomas Tuchel set to leave at the end of the season

Xabi Alonso has been linked with the future vacancy at the Allianz Arena, with the Bayer Leverkusen boss also tipped to be Jurgen Klopp's successor at Liverpool this summer.

It has also been speculated that Klopp's exit from Anfield this summer could mean some Liverpool players also follow suit
