Sander Westerveld has suggested that Arne Slot has a unique advantage when taking over from Jürgen Klopp at Anfield
Westerveld explained that Slot will be able to turn to the German for advice during the early part of his tenure.
Slot will officially begin his duties as Liverpool head coach with preparations already underway for pre-season and transfer plans this summer
Westerveld believes that Liverpool can benefit from Klopp having made the choice to move on himself earlier than many anticipated.
Rather than waiting until there was something of a decline, Slot will take on a squad very much on the up.

"I would have liked Klopp to continue for another year,"
"There is a young team, no one is ready with him, but he made the choice himself.
"The advantage for Slot is that Klopp is taking a sabbatical and would be at Anfield regularly and ready is able to provide help. That is really a unique situation in football."
Slot will have to adjust to being at a bigger club with greater expectations and pressures but he arrives at Liverpool with better players than he has worked with before
