"It’s a good feeling, it’s my first one (goal) as well. It just feels really good to score in front of all the fans,”

“Obviously I just try to do my best and improve as well.

“It feels night and day from this time last year, but I still have a long way to go. I’m just trying to improve as a player again.

“Of course, I want to play as many games as possible. The more you play, the more likely you are to stay in the game as a whole. I’m just trying to make a career for myself, hopefully at the highest level.”

Doak also revealed Mohamed Salah’s impact on his fledgling Liverpool career so far

“What’s not to like (watching Salah)? He’s one of the best in the world and has been for a few years,” he said. “I’m just trying to soak it all up, and take in everything I can from him.”
