Cody Gakpo reserved a message of thanks to the 1300 Liverpool supporters who braved the elements of Storm Ciaran to cheer their team
Gakpo scored his first goal since September 30 when he registered in the first half of the 2-1 win
Such was the adverse weather conditions that Liverpool's flight home was cancelled before they were made to travel back by road
Gakpo expressed his gratitude to the fans as a result.

“It was cold, rainy and windy but we won and did well. We created good chances. They had a few opportunities as well.
“The ball went everywhere with the wind. It was nice to score. Darwin is doing great. It was an amazing goal – cutting inside, top corner, fantastic."
The Reds return to Premier League action when they are entertained by Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
