Dominik Szoboszlai has explained the key change Arne Slot has made to Liverpool - and revealed the inspiration he is taking from Manchester City rival Erling Haaland.
Szoboszlai has been transformed into a number 10 since Slot replaced Jurgen Kloppas Reds boss in the summer
The 23-year-old experienced a difficult end to last season but is beginning to show improved form, scoring one goal and providing three assists
the Hungary international captain believes Liverpool's players are now realising the difference of having more time on the ball under the style imposed by Slot
Szoboszlai: "Now we are more on the ball,"
"We are more calm. The players who have a lot of quality, they have time to think about what to do.
"With Jurgen we would win the ball and go directly to the goal and score, which was actually working.
“But now there is a difference that we have more of the ball, are more calm and build up from behind.
"Jurgen was the 12th man. If he could, he would run on to the pitch and do some tackles or whatever.
“The new manager is more calm. He knows that what we plan will work out somehow if we do it."
Szoboszlai has previously spoken about his close friendship with City striker Haaland, who he played alongside when at Red Bull Salzburg.
the midfielder admits he initially resisted advice from the Norwegian forward to help further his career.

"I learned a lot from him because he was more grown than me," said Szoboszlai. "He is only three months older but it felt like it was three years older.
"He would do stuff that I could never imagine would help me but over time I realised, yes, he is right so I should start."
Szoboszlai also outlined the double aim of his time at Liverpool.
"I want to win the Champions League,"
"When I was a kid, first I wanted to hear the anthem on the field, then I wanted to score.
“Then I wanted to be a national team player, then I wanted to be a captain of the national team. I did all of them.
“Now, as I’m playing in the Premier League of course I want to win the Premier League with Liverpool.
“And I want to win the Champions League as well. So, I have big goals but I put goals to myself that are realistic.”
