Dominik Szoboszlai has already outlined his ambition to win the Champions League.
On Friday, the Reds told the Bundesliga outfit that they will trigger the midfielders' £60m release clause just hours before it was due to expire.
The Leipzig midfielder looks set to walk through the doors at the AXA Training Centre on the back of winning back-to-back DFB Pokal's with Die Roten Bullen.
the 22-year-old has already detailed his ambition ahead of his Liverpool move. He said speaking to Bundesliga's official website: "I have said before that my biggest dream is to win the Champions League.
"I want to win as many trophies as possible and have a really good career because that was my goal as a youngster. I want to play in full stadiums, in front of 70,000 people for the national team and to score and create goals and make people happy.
"I also want my father and my family to see me winning trophies like the Champions League.
"That's the aim and that's why I get up and work hard every day. Hopefully, that will pay off," he added. "Once again, to win the Champions League. I also want to stay healthy and injury-free, I don't wish injuries on anyone.
The sentiment of Szoboszlai was echoed by Mohamed Salah at the end of the previous campaign, as he shared his sadness at missing out on the Champions League
