Gabriel Martinelli has suggested that Arsenal targeted Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool's right side during the Reds' defeat
While there is little doubt about Alexander-Arnold's attacking skills, there have been concerns from some quarters about the England international's defensive ability
Martinelli said:
"We knew that was the area of the pitch that we could get something from. Me personally I always do well against Liverpool."
Trent had the task of keeping Martinelli under control, but struggled to do so.
Martinelli has scored five goals for the Gunners against Liverpool, which is the joint-most amount against an opposition side along with Crystal Palace.
The Reds boss once called him the "talent of the century"
