Harvey Elliott says he has been "blown away" by the generosity of Liverpool supporters after his efforts helped raise over £15,000 for a children's hospice on Merseyside.

Elliott put the use of his Anfield executive box for the Reds' visit of Nottingham Forest on October 29 up for auction in July, encouraging fans to enter the draw for a chance to experience

All bids were to go to local charity Claire House and with the draw having officially been made at the beginning of the week, Elliott's fundraising work has totalled £16,338.

The money will now go towards caring for seriously and terminally ill children

"I just want to thank everyone who donated for all your support in raising funds for a very special cause,"

"I've been blown away by your generosity.

"The staff at Claire House do an amazing job and this money will make a big difference to so many children's lives.

"Playing for this club means so much to me and I think we've all got a duty to give back and make a difference in the local community. YNWA.”

Lewis Croft from Claire House added: “We are extremely grateful for the support of Harvey Elliott and all those who got involved. The money he has raised will make a massive difference and mean we can be there for more seriously ill children and their families. We cannot thank everyone enough."
