Frank Lampard has made clear Liverpool could be about to make a fatal error should Jordan Henderson be sold this summer
Reports last night suggested the Reds' captain had been offered a contract worth £700,000 a week to sign for Al-Ettifaq
Liverpool are still awaiting an official approach for the England international and there is no appetite from inside the club to lose a player of Henderson's importance ahead of a critical campaign
Losing the 33-year-old would come as a blow to Jurgen Klopp on the back of James Milner's summer exit

"If you're going to make a mistake in a game, I've got no problem with that. If you're not going to run for your team-mate or work through the week, with an idea that when I train on Monday that's got to have a direct relation to what Saturday is going to look like, I probably can either get upset with the player or distance the player."
"When you're working with a group, you have to be careful of that one because not every player has your mentality. So you either have to try and bring them up to the party or, if not, they're going to have to not be there if you're going to have success. You have six or seven players where you know what you're going to get every day: they're going to train, come in and be active every day. You're going to have the middle group and the ones saying 'I'm just coming to training' or 'I'm a bit sore today'.
"To come back to your original point about players and stalwarts, the Gary Neville's, James Milner's. [With] people, on the outside, it is very easy to look at the superstars like Mo Salah but, I can guarantee you and I know this first-hand from speaking to people, people like James Milner and Jordan Henderson have absolutely set the tone at that club for the last however many years during great success. If you don't have those drivers within that top six or eight, it is very hard to sustain success."
