Jurgen Klopp hailed the work of Liverpool's Academy as he reflected on a sensational performance for Conor Bradley
Northern Ireland international Bradley was superb at Anfield
Bradley has excelled in recent weeks during the absence of usual right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold
Klopp, says assistant boss Pep Lijnders and elite-development coach Vitor Matos have always maintained their admiration for the youngster.
Klopp saluted the thriving Academy scene for the players the first-team ranks have been supplemented with in recent months as he praised Bradley for his display.
Klopp
"I've known it for a while,"
"In my left ear is Pep Lijnders and in my right ear is Vitor Matos, telling me.
"I remember Pep sitting in my office telling me he's put both of his hands in fire. I have loved him from the first days and didn’t need a lot of convincing.
"The thing is Conor showed up extremely well in pre-season, did extremely well at Bolton.
"He comes back, looks top and does well in pre-season, wow and is out for four months with the back, it is the kind of issue that only young people have.
"Thank God time could sort it. It will not get better but in that age group it gets better. It is a joy to watch him since he comes back and all credit to the Academy.
"Conor, Jarell Quansah, James McConnell, Bobby Clark, Kaide Gordon coming back after a long long injury, these kinds of things.
"It is all top. It is not cool, we were counting on Stefan Bajcetic before the season because we knew how good he is but the academy is doing an incredible job."
