Paddy Pimblett believes Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool at the end of the season
Paddy is hopeful Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah will pen extensions with the club.
All three players are into the final eight months of their Anfield contracts and will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs from January 1.
As it stands, Alexander-Arnold, who made his debut for the club eight years ago this week, will leave his boyhood club at the end of the season
However, Liverpool MMA star Pimblett believes the 26-year-old, who has been courted by European Cup holders Real Madrid, will depart Anfield at the end of the season.
Pimblett said:
"I'm hearing lots of things through the grapevine that he's going.
“I think Virgil and Salah are going to stay, but I don't know what's happening with Trent. I hope he stays because he's going to be Liverpool's captain one day.”
"If he stays, he's going to be a Liverpool legend, he's going to be remembered forever and he'll win more. But I think he'll leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth if he leaves on a free.
“Steve McManaman [left on a free transfer] – I've met him before he's a nice fella – but he doesn't get looked at in the nicest way in the city, you know what mean? Neither does Michael Owen.
"And if they wouldn't have left, they would have been club legends. Trent can be a club legend if he wants to, he can be remembered like Gerrard, but it's up to him whether he wants to do that.“
Earlier this month, meanwhile, Van Dijk revealed he had opened formal negotiations with the club over a new contract and reaffirmed his "full commitment" to Arne Slot's side.
Van Dijk
"I can say obviously discussions are ongoing, but I don't know, we will see what happens in the future,"
“My very full focus is on Liverpool, wanting to win games that are ahead of me and nothing else.
"What the future will bring I have no idea at the moment. I can only tell you that discussions have been started up and we will see. I feel very good, physically, mentally and I am having fun.
"What the future brings I have no idea at the moment, but like I said in my previous answer, discussions are ongoing with the right people and when it's time to make a decision or whatever, I think you guys (the media) will know it as well.
“But now full commitment and focus is on Liverpool and to be successful this season. So we will see.
“My own form is fine. I will let others do the talking, I don't want to talk about myself. It is not me who is not conceding, it is all of us who are not conceding. I'm the captain, yes, but I am feeling very fine."
