Virgil van Dijk has admitted he has noticed a "different energy" about Liverpool after a summer of change at the club.
The changes in the summer have paid off for Jurgen Klopp who, like his midfield, appears to be rejuvenated
Many have referred to this current team as 'Liverpool 2.0' and Van Dijk has recognised there is a freshness at present

"There has been an transition, of course, also in the way we play, different players with different qualities and trying to adapt,"
"It's working quite well. Everyone is pushing each other and playing at a high level. That's the key to success, hopefully this season.
"Everyone last year, especially towards at the end of the season, was drained - if I am absolutely honest.
"It was such a disappointing season because we didn't find the consistency. We played one good game - I don't want to mention it again - but we played Manchester United and won big here at home and then lost to Bournemouth in the next game.
"It was so frustrating because everyone wants to perform on the highest level and win every game.
"We had a short break in the summer and then we came back and everyone felt great. It went well and we sense a different vibe and energy in the club."
Van Dijk added:
"Great players do. This season, or towards end of last season, he (Salah) missed a couple of penalties, but to step up and deliver is something we need. We hope we can build on this now.
"Consistency is the most difficult thing in football, to do it each and every game is hard. Mykolenko did very well against him, but Salah stepped up. We're very pleased and very pleased for him."
