Jamie Carragher has reacted to a 'massive' result for Liverpool after the Reds' 3-1 victory over Fulham
The former Liverpool defender pointed to the Reds' 1-0 win against Atalanta on Thursday as a reset moment for Klopp's side following a disappointing string of results.
Carragher felt it was an important turning point in the Reds' recent fortunes.
Carragher said:
A massive result for Liverpool, not just in terms of the title race and the three points. They needed to get back on track.
“And actually, midweek, Liverpool won the game, went out the competition but I think Jurgen Klopp used that almost like 'Liverpool are back. We've got a clean sheet, we won the game'.
“This was a step up again in terms of performance. Still they could do better, of course, but it's a massive result now."
Carra added:
“Liverpool right now, five games to go in the Premier League, level on top with Arsenal just [behind] on goal difference... it's a great position to be in."
