Jurgen Klopp explains why he is remaining 'completely calm' about Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is pleased with Darwin Nunez's Liverpool development - outlining areas the striker can improve as his barren goalscoring run extended to 10 matches

It comes after a debut season in which he made a slow start after becoming (potentially) the most expensive player in Liverpool's history

Nunez started this season in good form, scoring seven goals in 14 matches

But rash finishing has meant glorious chances have still gone begging and he now hasn't found the back of the net for the Reds since November 1.

James Milner, spoke of his excitement for Nunez's development at Anfield during an interview with Amazon Prime Sport last season.

In an interview that has just been published, Klopp has expressed his happiness with the positive changes to the Uruguay international's overall game

Klopp

"Milly didn't play together with Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Ryan Gravenberch and all the others but they have a lot of talent as well, where they can take the next step,"

"But he is right, Darwin is like that. The big difference between Darwin last year and this year is that he is completely settled.

"against Fulham, was a good example, one chance could have done better and the other he is doing everything right and it's about an inch - Trent's (Trent Alexander-Arnold) ball crossbar, hits (Bernd) Leno and goes in - his ball, crossbar and out ,so where is the difference?

"He has all these moments and his understanding, involvement in the third goal is so important, he stays in the games, he's super positive in and around the game.

"He was a little bit aggressive in the wrong way at the beginning, now he is aggressive in the right way. I am really happy with what I see in the moment and the rest will come, we are completely calm.

"Could he have scored more goals? Yes, of course. Could he have had more situations? I don't think so, he has all the moments and now we have to work on the last touch."
