Jurgen Klopp insists winning once at Liverpool is worth five at any other club.
Klopp will bring down the curtain on nine years at the club when they finish off their season with a trip to Aston Villa and then at home against Wolves.
The German arrived in 2015 and has gone on to deliver seven major trophies
Klopp
“When you win one time with Liverpool, it is worth as much as five with another club.”
“Experience a good moment is really good, experience a good moment with a lot of people together it is a completely different level and the same with the bad moments. So that is really special.”
Klopp said:
“If you played a minute for this club people all over the world will never forget you. And if you don’t find them here around the corner, you will find them 7,000 miles away.”
Klopp was going back over his spell in charge at the club in an interview with Kelly Cates as he remembered back to his first press conference
Klopp had just left Borussia Dortmund citing the need for a sabbatical but the opportunity to take over at Liverpool was too good to turn down.
Klopp said
“Looking at that in 2015, it feels like I have been here for 25 years,”
“It was just positive, I was really looking forward to it. I was super excited about the opportunity.
“We wanted to go to a different country, we wanted to move to England. And obviously we didn’t regret it for a second.
“I could have grown up here. I’m not a city person, I grew up in the countryside. I knew I will love being here. We felt at home here. We felt blessed.”
Klopp will leave as a Liverpool legend who has helped restore the club to winning ways but he admits the club has also had a huge impact on him.
