Klopp has claimed that Liverpool’s awful away form last season turned him into an “anti-alcoholic” as continued to be deprived of a well-earned pint
The Reds endured an extremely difficult time of things away from Anfield last term.
Eight of their nine Premier League defeats came on their travels
they have certainly improved. Saturday’s 3-1 comeback win over Wolverhampton Wanderers made it eight away games without defeat -
Klopp will be among those to be relieved to see that record continue, with the German now able to enjoy a drink once he returns to Merseyside.
Klopp
"Much better, it feels much better, I only have a beer when we win an away game. And last year I almost became an anti-alcoholic! So it’s of course better.
“But we all know that everything is new. We cannot always mention last season, as bad as we was and as useful as it might be.
"But obviously we don’t think about our away record anymore, so when we came here today, and when I saw the first half, I didn’t think the same as last year. We have to do better, we have to create something new.”
