Liverpool maintained their impressive start to the new Premier League campaign by coming from behind to win at Wolves
The result means Jurgen Klopp’s men have extended their unbeaten league run to 16 games after a strong end to last season.
Klopp made it quite clear after the game he could barely believe what he was seeing as Liverpool floundered their way through the first half
But his discontent had been apparent during a break in play before half-time when the Reds boss called Joel Matip, one of many players to have been struggling, over to the touchline.
Cue Klopp gesticulating wildly towards the centre-back and firing a few pointed phrases in his direction. Given how the second half panned out, the message clearly got through.
It was quite the first senior Liverpool start for Jarell Quansah, who was thrown in at the deep end with Ibrahima Konate not considered fit enough to start after missing the last few weeks with a muscle problem.
But the 20-year-old was arguably the Reds' most impressive defender, particularly during the first half, until he had to succumb to an injury during the closing quarter.
Wolves fans had grown frustrated at the youngster having twice gone to ground, leading to Quansah hobbling off while the chant of 'w**ker' resonated around much of Molineux. Welcome to the Premier League, Jarell.
