Klopp says he can understand the Netherlands' frustration with Ryan Gravenberch over his decision to snub Under-21 duty in favour of settling on Merseyside during the international break.
But Klopp believes the call will ultimately stand to benefit both club and country as he talked up the talents of Liverpool's new £40m midfielder
After arriving from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day two weeks ago, Gravenberch has remained in the North West arranging a number of off-the-field issues like housing
Gravenberch's choice was questioned by both Dutch Under-21 boss Michael Reiziger and senior coach Ronald Koeman
but Klopp says the versatile midfielder made the right call to ease himself into his new surroundings on Merseyside.
Klopp
"We will see [if he's involved] but of course there's a benefit of that,"
"A new player at a new club, he could sort everything on the private basis.
"If he had to do that this week we have games every three days so, let me say it like this, he knows where he will live.
"He has a car, he has everything around him. So of course there is a benefit to that.
"I can understand that the Dutch aren't happy, Michael Reiziger or Ronald Koeman are not happy, I can get that. But the boy is a footballer through and through. He wants to play football all the time and he used that break to fix a lot of things which we usually do in a proper rush, so he didn't have to do that. So from our point of view, it is good but he loves playing for Holland, whichever team. But that's it.
"I wouldn't want to choose one [as his best quality]. The package is interesting. He is good in small spaces and that's now special and in big spaces, he can accelerate, he has a really good overview, he is a good passer, a good shooter. The full week in training now, everyone knows now he is really skillful and he always was.
"At 18 he was at Ajax, when moved to Bayern he already had over 100 games for Ajax which is not usual. Defensively he can make the next step but I see that he wants that 100% and he is really in that.
"He's worked hard and it's extremely nice for him, OK Cody Gakpo only arrived [back from Holland duty] on Thursday but it's good having Cody and Virg (Van Dijk) around. It's the same age group as most of the boys now, so it's really cool having him.
"He is a good guy and a player with massive potential. I don't know where he will end up [positionally] but he will. It takes time, how long? I don't know but we will see.
"To reach or get closer to his peak, we will work on that. He is here for a long time and I am really happy we can start that."
