Klopp has urged his squad to share the responsibility with the leadership group following the departure of a raft of influential players
There has been significant change in the senior ranks this summer with Virgil van Dijk named new club captain and Trent Alexander-Arnold as vice-captain
It has prompted a change in the leadership group, with Andy Robertson elevated to third captain and Alisson Becker joined by Mohamed Salah
Klopp believes it will take time for Liverpool to adjust to the new hierarchy - but is confident they will be bolstered by the attributes of their latest recruits.
Klopp
"We have to grow into that,"
"It's not that it happens straight away, it didn't happen eight years ago with Hendo and it will not happen now."
"We don't to have always say 'well Millie would have said that and Hendo would have said that, and Hendo would have shouted here and Bobby would have smiled here' and all these kind of things. We should not do it like that, it makes no sense."
"We have a new start with this 'Liverpool FC Reloaded' if you want. It's an exciting thing. Everybody was asking for changes and rightly so, because we were together for a long time and things went really well and then not that well anymore. Timing for a change is probably always the biggest challenge in life, to find that. Did we do it exactly at the right moment? Difficult to answer, but now it's happened."
Klopp added:
"It's a new chance for everybody. Everybody has to step up, the new leadership group and not only them. If you look at the players who are not in the new leadership group but have all you need to be a leader, it's absolutely exceptional. The new boys are great. Cody (Gakpo), Dom (Szoboszlai) - 22 and captain of Hungary - and Macca (Alexis Mac Allister), outstanding. These boys are there as well.
"We all share responsibility. It's not that we should give ourselves too much time to grow into it, but let's do it. Let's take the responsibility and go from there. Don't try to be like somebody - be the best version of yourself and you have a good chance to help the team in the best possible way, that's where we try to help the boys."
