Liverpool are moving closer to the start of the new Premier League campaign as pre-season continues

The Reds are currently in the United States stepping up their preparations for a new era at Anfield.

Slot has been busy assessing his squad in the early weeks of pre-season with the summer transfer window rolling on in the background.

No new signings have been made by Liverpool so far this summer, but there is still plenty of time for that to change before the deadline on September 2.

Despite the lack of new signings, the Reds are continuing to be credited with an interest in a host of players this summer.

Latest rumours

Liverpool are being linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen.

Reports earlier this summer first linked the Reds with a potential swoop for the Netherlands international and now an update has emerged.

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool will face competition from Arsenal for the signing of Malen this summer

It has been claimed that Malen has a release clause worth £34million (€40m) which both the Reds and the Gunners are considering activating.

However, it has been claimed that Malen would favour a move to Arsenal over Liverpool

The report concludes by saying that the Reds would want to sign Malen as a backup option for Mohamed Salah.

Ryan Gravenberch is being linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer.

Turkish news outlet Yeni Safak has claimed that Galatasaray are interested in signing the midfielder.

The report claims that Galatasaray are looking to sign Gravenberch on loan for the upcoming season.

It has even been reported that the Super Lig club's director of football Cenk Ergun will travel to England to negotiate a deal with Liverpool to sign Gravenberch.
