Liverpool may need to act swiftly if they want to secure the signature of Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer
Summerville was crowned Championship Player of the Season last term
it is being claimed by Fabrizio Romano that West Ham have made the first concrete move by submitting an initial proposal to Leeds for the winger.
Romano also suggests that talks have taken place with the player, but a deal is not yet close and is 'considered very expensive'.
West Ham aren't the only club showing an interest, with AS Roma also having Summerville on their radar, reports Football London.
The Italian outfit will reportedly turn their attention to Summerville if they fail in their pursuit of Juventus forward Matias Soule
Roma are locked in a transfer battle with Leicester City for the Argentinian, with West Ham also linked in the Italian press.
Summerville netted 21 goals and set up another 10 in 49 matches across all competitions for Leeds last season.
The initial offer from the Hammers for the 22-year-old has not been disclosed, but it's been reported that Leeds values the winger at around £30 million.
