The report states that Liverpool are joined by Aston Villa in making an attempt to sign Frendrup in recent weeks.
It was claimed that the Reds had submitted an offer worth €25 million (£21 million) to eGenoa in an attempt to tie up a deal.
Whilst not stating whether or not the bid was accepted, the report claims that Frendrup is considered "unsellable" by Genoa this summer.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz.
According to Turkish news outlet Fotomac, the Reds are willing to make an offer worth €30 million (£25 million) to sign Yilmaz this summer.
