The 22-year-old midfielder emerged as a target for the Reds as they continue a midfield revamp
Liverpool held initial talks earlier this month with Fluminense over the player, with reports in Brazil suggesting they are preparing an offer of around £25million plus add-ons.
The Brazilian side, though, are adamant they will not allow Andre to leave during the summer transfer window given they remain in the hunt to win the Copa Libertadores

"It's obvious that it's normal to receive offers,"
"Even more so with the team doing well, getting through in the Libertadores, and being near the top of the Brasileria (Brazilian championship).
"Not just me, but others must have received offers as well. I am happy about the offers that arrive, but my mind today is focused 100% on Fluminense."
Fluminense play the first leg of their Copa Libertadores quarter-final against Olimpia of Paraguay in the early hours of Friday morning
the return leg in Rio taking place a week later - on the same day as the Premier League transfer deadline.
