Liverpool is guaranteed to see some turnover in its squad this summer. As well as any incomings, which always draw interest, there will be exits too.
We have already seen a pair of senior players say farewell to the Reds. (Matip and Thiago)
There could be further departures too, as the club looks to bring in funds to help reshape the squad for the Arne Slot era
While focus will fall on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, all of whom are entering the final year of their contracts
lesser members of the squad are likelier to leave — with a question over Kostas Tsimikas.
Tsimikas appeared to fall somewhat out of favor in Klopp's final season. With Joe Gomez often selected at left-back in the Scot’s absence this season.
Tsimikas played fewer Premier League minutes than in either of the preceding two campaigns, collecting over half of his playing time in cup competitions.
He was excluded from the match day squad three times from mid-April onward and started just two of the final 22 matches
David Lynch has suggested that the 28-year-old could be on the move once the transfer window opens.
Lynch:
"Kostas Tsimikas is not one where there’s been any reports, but he’s 28-years-old, he barely featured in the second half of the season,"
“You had Joe Gomez there who jumped ahead of him in the left-back pecking order.
"I think this is the summer you maybe make the decision that it’s time to move on. Obviously the offer’s got to be right for him, it’s got to be right for Liverpool,”
Lynch continued.
“He did only sign a fresh contract last summer but I think that was very much about protecting his value.
"No developments on that yet but it’s just one I would say to absolutely keep an eye on.
“I think Kostas Tsimikas could be a little bit of a story this summer in terms of a potential departure because he will want to play more football,” he concluded.
