Sadio Mane has spoken out on Jurgen Klopp’s looming exit from Liverpool - and joked that he wants to hire his old manager.
Mane is a Reds legend, scoring 120 goals from 269 appearances and winning every major honour during his six years under Klopp at Anfield.
The Senegalese striker, who is now playing in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr
Mane became majority shareholder of fourth-tier French outfit Bourges Foot 18 last October.
Mane paid a recent visit to the club ahead of reporting for international duty with Senegal.
Mane commented on Klopp
“He said he was leaving Liverpool? Maybe he will come here (laughs),”
“He is someone who left his mark on world football, and personally, he contributed a lot to my progress.
“He is a great man, a living legend, who brought a lot, a lot to Liverpool. All the work he did there will, I think, be forever engraved in the memory of all the supporters.”
