Noel Gallagher names big difference between Liverpool and Arsenal after Man City win

Noel Gallagher has taken aim at Arsenal and believes they need to learn from Liverpool on how to play against Manchester City.

City seized control of the Premier League title race with a sensational 4-1 victory over the Gunners

reflecting on the game post-match, Gallagher was scathing in his assessment of the Gunners.

Noel Gallagher:

"I couldn’t believe it," the 55-year-old told talkSPORT. "As soon as the game kicked off, I was expecting Arsenal to fly out the blocks

"I was expecting them to give Ederson no time on the ball. They were stood there as we were kicking it around the six-yard box.

"After we went 1-0 up, I said to the guy next to me that the only way we don’t win this is if we get bored. We were just knocking it around. Arsenal had to win that game.

"None of us particularly like Liverpool, but when they come here, they play like champions, and it’s life or death. They give it their all, and the fans give it their all. Arsenal have been giving it the big 'un for the last few weeks, and they did nothing."

Gallagher then added: "They were an embarrassment. That’s their chance gone; see you later.

"I was pretty disappointed in Arsenal. All I’ve heard on your radio station all day is how Arsenal are going to play. They come up here as contenders and did nothing. They didn’t want to play the game in the first 20 minutes. They did nothing.

"My lot just stamped on them. We saw the governors tonight and a load of kids that are pretenders. Kevin De Bruyne was on another level. We defended brilliantly and it was a great, great night."
