Omar Marmoush makes transfer 'promise' amid Liverpool and Arsenal links

Omar Marmoush has promised Eintracht Frankfurt fans that he isn’t thinking about a transfer despite being linked with a move to Liverpool.

The Egypt international has been attracting plenty of attention with his form this season, having scored 18 goals and added 12 assists in 24 appearances

That has seen him being linked with a big move this month, and with the January transfer window now open, speculation will no doubt intensify over his future.

Marmoush has been linked with Liverpool, with Christian Falk suggesting in November that Mohamed Salah has even recommended his international teammate to the Reds

With Darwin Nunez not firing and Diogo Jota having struggled with injury again this season, Marmoush could be an option if Arne Slot decides to look for a new No.9.

The 25-year-old has now addressed the speculation over his future in an interview with German outlet Sport Bild, and has played down the possibility of him making a move to the Premier League this month.

Of course, you hear about it in passing,”

“I’m honored that people are talking about me. That vshows that I’m obviously doing a good job.

“But it doesn’t concern me at all in my day-to-day life. My focus is solely on Eintracht Frankfurt and on being successful here.”

Asked whether there is a particular league he would prefer to play in,

Marmoush responded: “There’s always a lot of speculation on the outside. But I don’t actually have a particular dream goal.”

The striker went on to make a promise to his current club’s supporters, while insisting he is not looking at an immediate move.

Marmoush added

“What I can promise the fans is that I will give my all for Eintracht in every game,”

. “I am not thinking about a transfer. I am living in the here and now and enjoying my time in Frankfurt.

“I feel very comfortable here. Eintracht believed in me and put their trust in me. I want to repay that trust with good performances and goals.

“What happens in the distant future, however, doesn’t interest me. I want to continue to do my best so that at the end of the season we can say as a team: We have achieved something big.”
