The Premier League have explained the decision to disallow a Leicester City goal against Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League.
Conor Coady thought he had put the Foxes ahead in the second half after a loose ball dropped to him in the box.
However, the referee decided to rule out the goal because of a foul by Patson Daka on Alisson Becker.
The Leicester forward nudged the Brazilian international as he looked to claim a high ball, forcing him off balance.
"The referee's call of no goal following a foul by Daka on Alisson was checked and confirmed by VAR - with it deemed that Daka made no attempt to challenge for the ball," advant
posted the Premier League Match Centre account on X.
Liverpool were below par during the majority of the game, but Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench to score a late goal to put them ahead.
A win means the Reds can win the Premier League title this week if Arsenal slip up at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Should the Gunners win, then victory at Anfield for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday would be enough.
The result means Leicester's relegation has also been confirmed alongside Southampton.
