As the 2023/2024 Premier League season edges ever closer, the excitement around who Jurgen Klopp will bolster his Liverpool squad with continues to grow.
it is recognised that more will need to arrive in order to complete the rejuvenation that Klopp and Co are keen on implementing.
Romeo Lavia
The Athletic's Jacob Tanswell believes Liverpool are a more likely destination for Romeo Lavia this summer. However, they will be forced to pay a hefty sum.
The Reds are admirers of the 19-year-old Belgian midfielder, after he enjoyed a fruitful debut Premier League campaign with relegated Southampton following his move from Manchester City.
Tanswell revealed: "Southampton want a high figure for him. Someone has got to pay around £45m-£50m for Lavia. Who can do that is dependent on all the other targets they get.
"Liverpool or Chelsea. I probably think Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp and with the background [work] they’ve done on him, that probably looks the likely destination."
