Liverpool rejected a bid worth $192m (£150m/€177m) for Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah last summer.
A year on, there are even fewer reasons to think he might want to make the move, even if the money on offer is enormous again
Jordan Henderson's experience alone should be enough to put him off while the quality of the football is a long way off the level that Salah deserves to be playing
the Saudi sports minister Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud has been speaking about Al-Ittihad's pursuit of the now-32-year-old
"Al-Ittihad requested Salah, and the package was astronomical," he said, via Ben Jacobs.
"He was under contract and we [the Ministry of Sport] were not in direct negotiations.
“So we enquired to Liverpool and they said they had no desire to sell and so we ended the matter decisively."
With only a year left on his Liverpool contract as things stand, Salah and his representatives will need to enter negotiations with the Reds over an extension
Liverpool's top scorer last season will not be sold this summer but he has still got plenty left to give at the top end of the game.
