Sergio Aguero has told Darwin Nunez "not to panic" in order to end his goalscoring drought with Liverpool
The former Man City star praised the impact compatriot Alexis Mac Allister has had at Anfield since arriving at the club in a £35m deal from Brighton last summer.
Nunez has endured a difficult run of form in recent weeks, struggling for goals after an encouraging season for the Reds
Aguero says if he keeps believing in himself, the goals will come.
Aguero
“I'm sure mine is probably the same advice his team-mates or his manager must be giving him... ‘keep on trying.’ That's key, and more so in a goalscorer like him.
“Darwin's got the knack – he is constantly on the prowl. You’ve got to respect that.’
Nunez has missed a lot of big chances for Liverpool
The 24-year-old has a lot of potential, as he has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season.
While he has shown great goal-scoring ability, he could aim to be more clinical and efficient with his finishing.
The other tip Aguero would give to Liverpool’s forward is, ‘Don't panic.’ He then goes on to say:
Aguero
"That's what I thought to myself when I spent many games without scoring. I'd tell myself that goals will be soon to come, and surely enough, they did."
