Trent Alexander-Arnold has finally responded to James Maddison's Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool replay jibe
Still almost two weeks on the fallout from the Reds controversial loss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium continues.
That is in part owed to England team-mates meeting up this week, with plenty said on social media already
Spurs' summer signing Maddison was the first to put a taunt out on Instagram, tagging Alexander-Arnold in a story that featured the caption "still asking for a replay."
There was a fake image that circulated online of an Instagram response from the Reds' full-back. Maddison was then interviewed about his cheeky post, passing it off as "just a bit of banter."
Now Alexander-Arnold has finally been given a platform of his own to reply by Channel 4, and he pulled no punches when doing so.
When asked if the conversation in the picture Maddison posted was actually about the VAR blunder, Liverpool's No.66 replied: "Nah. No, he was asking me how to teach him how to put a free-kick in the top corner.
"But, I told him I'd just show him the video of when I scored at Leicester last year and they got relegated, so..." ending his answer with a barrel of wicked laughter.
